                           Instructions to Add to Home Page  the Vesta Grove App

Vesta Grove is a browser-based app, by design.

There's no app store download, no account creation, and nothing tied to your Apple ID or Google account. You just open a link and add it to your home screen. It looks and works like any other app, but nothing is tracked, stored, or shared.

Read the instruction for your device.

*This app is optimized at the mid zoom level setting, depending on your device. Very large zoom will still work, but buttons make look a bit cramped. and some text will require scrolling*

What device do you use?

iPhone & iPad

1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad 

*Do not use incognito tab because it will not work*.

2. Click the link at the bottom of this instruction panel.

3. Look at the bottom of your screen and tap the Share button (it looks like a square with an arrow pointing up).

4. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".

5. The app will now appear on your home screen like a regular app. You can open it by tapping the icon.

All set! Your app is ready to use. It works even when you're offline!

Android

1. Open Chrome (or your web browser) on your Android phone or tablet. 

     *Do not use incognito tab because it will not work*

2. Click the link at the bottom of this instruction panel.

3. Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner.

4. Tap "Add to Home screen". Or "Add page to" and select "Home Screen". Or "Install"

5. Follow the prompts and then tap "Install". And wait for the confimation that the app is installed.

6. The app will now appear on your home screen like a regular app. You can open it by tapping the icon.

All set! Your app is ready to use. It works even when you're offline!

Computer (Mac or Windows) Not recommended. But you can still download if you want.

1. Open Chrome (or Edge, Brave, etc.) on your computer.

2. Click the link at the bottom of this instruction panel.

3. Look at the top right of the address bar. You should see an install icon (it may look like a small square or house with a plus sign).

4. Click on it and select "Install".

5. A new window will open with the app ready to use.

6. You can also find the app in your computer's app menu or on your desktop.

All set! Your app is ready to use. It works even when you're offline!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

⚠️ This app saves everything on YOUR device

Your app settings, like your color choices and toggles, are stored on your phone or computer. They are NOT saved in the cloud. 

*Clearing your browser cache or history will cause you to lose your settings. 

I have included an easy Backup and Restore System and I highly recommend backing up the app at least twice a month.

⚠️ Deleting the app removes everything

If you delete this app from your device, all your settings will be erased. You can always download it again, but your preferences and collections will be gone and you'll need to set them up again.
